Jesse J. Cardenas has been at Raiser & Kenniff, PC, since March of 2012. His practice areas include criminal defense and litigation. Jesse is also fluent in Spanish.
Jesse is a native New Yorker, having lived in the Bronx most of his life. Jesse received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Criminal Justice with a specialization in forensic psychology from St. John’s University in 2008. He was also inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, which recognizes high academic achievements. In 2011, Jesse obtained his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law.
While at Hofstra, Jesse volunteered in the 2009 Citizen’s Drive where he assisted immigrants filling out their N-400 Naturalization Application. He also was an advocate in the Unemployment Action Center in 2009, which assisted those who were denied employment benefits.
In 2010, Jesse began working at Raiser & Kenniff, PC, as a law clerk. While working at Raiser & Kenniff, PC, he obtained hands on experience in dealing with various criminal law issues such as DWI’s, robberies, larcenies, traffic violations, applications for Relief from Civil Disabilities and Certificates of Good Conduct, as well as cases involving claims brought by Child Protective Services. Jesse has an extensive legal research background, and has handled several complex research issues.
Jesse is currently awaiting admission to practice law in New York State. At present, he is a law clerk for Raiser & Kenniff, PC. He is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
